NYC Matte Me Crazy Mattifying Top Coat Review and Swatches

I found this baby at Target the other day, it was the only one left, and I'm glad I got it. I'm in a matte phase right now, matte face powder, matte blush, and matte nails of course.

The back of the bottle shows the shade number and name along with a peel me sticker which opens to show the ingredients and directions of use. The brush is your average nail polish brush, nothing fancy, and the polish looks like a thick transparent gel.

Finger with just the original nail polish

Finger with NYC Matte me Crazy applied

The application was easy and not messy.  It dries pretty fast. This is just one coat and that is more than enough. Doesn't it look awesome? I thought so. Now I can make all my nail polishes look matte for under $2. It also lasts as long as the original nail polish lasts. So the lasting power depends on the formula and staying power of the original nail polish you have before applying this. I think this is pretty great for such a low price. You get an amount of 0.33 oz (9.7 ml) for $1.99 at Target. I might even go pick up a couple more of these once they are available. I recommend this to anyone who likes matte nails.

Hope this review helps you. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to drop me a line in the comments below.

    1. I don't particularly like or use glitter nail polish often but I'm sure the effect wouldn't be that prominent on glitter polish as on normal polish. Will chk out ur blog.

15 Must Watch Chinese Youth Dramas That are Artistic Masterpieces

I stopped watching youth dramas (dramas usually set in high school/college backdrop) over a year ago since I felt like I was getting too old for these. I find most of them quite juvenile like I am watching the Disney channel. However, before I completely stopped, I tried watching more than 30 popular youth dramas and I had to drop most of them because they were just too mediocre, with bad writing, and bad acting/editing. But I also found some gems that were just too good and should not be missed by anyone, doesn't matter how old you are. These dramas have something more than just being a funny/silly high school/college drama. They have some kind of an x-factor to them that makes them quite unique in my opinion. Be it the story, the casting, the cinematography, the costumes, the locations/settings, etc. all together create a magical on-screen experience that I have not found in the other youth dramas that I have seen. Listed below are my top picks from the Chinese youth drama genre ...

Some Recent Regret Buys

In my opinion, it's not ethical blogging if we're only featuring the good and not talking about some bad products because let's face it, there are a lot of crappy products out there. And when we're not talking about them we're withholding important information and we're not being fair to our readers. In fact, it means we're being fairer to brands. It's fine if people want to earn some money through brand deals but it's really not worth it to become a sell-out. Some might say why bother writing about bad products, why not just let them be, but I want to put the word out there about bad products too because I want to help people like me save some money. Please note that when I say "bad products" it means "products that have not worked for me". However, these products might have worked very well for some others because each of us has different skin types and tolerance for products and it's totally OK. In the past few months, I t...

10 Popular Perfumes/Mists With The Same Scent DNA As Baccarat Rouge 540

Baccarat Rouge 540 was launched in 2016 by the famous perfumer Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Since then it has reached a whole new level of popularity when it comes to perfumes, especially on social media. But since it is a very expensive perfume there are a lot of people like me, who cannot justify spending so much on a perfume, and who are looking for something similar that costs less. On the other hand brands that grasp the popularity also come up with perfumes that are inspired by the OG. People refer to these as dupes or smell-a-likes. It's basically a win win situation for everyone. I am personally not crazy about the scent profile that BR540 belongs to but since it is so hyped I wanted to try it out for myself. So I went to the store several times and tested it on the paper strips, on my clothes, and on my skin. And after several tries I decided that it is not really for me. It's a little too spicy and woody for my tastes. And since it is so expensive it's also not some...
